GrowStream 20 V2: The New Aeroponic System for 20 Plants by Terra Aquatica
The GrowStream systems are based on the highly efficient AeroFlo system technology while offering a range of improvements that make this system even more ergonomic with uncompromising quality.
With a capacity of 20 plants per system unit, this expandable GrowStream system offers a flexible solution for hydroponic plant production. The GrowStream® concept, based on the principle of optimal distribution of oxygen-rich water throughout the length of the cultivation system, provides the benefits of a cultivation technique known as aeroponics without its disadvantages (water heating and susceptibility to pH fluctuations).
The GrowStream 20 V2 system consists of a 70-liter reservoir with a water pump that delivers water to the plant trough, where it is injected at precise intervals. Subsequently, the nutrient solution flows back through the drainage pipe to replenish the reservoir, optimizing oxygen supply without the need for complex control systems or numerous air pumps. This simplifies the assembly and operation of the GrowStream system, allowing the grower to focus on system control without losing time on maintenance.
New innovations of the V2 models include the detachable lid and rounded corners for easier cleaning, the double-wall construction of the chamber and lid for improved insulation, and the internal irrigation line to prevent water loss. Compared to AeroFlo, the slightly larger dimensions of the GrowStream 20 ensure that larger plants' roots have sufficient space and ample water. The GrowStream 20 is versatile, suitable for both small and large plants. These aeroponic hydroponic systems can foster not only salads and herbs but also larger plants.
New Flexible T-Distributors Allow Variable Trough Spacing
The GrowStream V2 models now feature a flexible T-distributor (black) as opposed to the rigid T-distributor of the old V1 models. Instead of being glued together, the T-distributors now consist of separate parts with flexible hoses that can be easily screwed together using connectors.
This new design offers several advantages. For instance, the risk of distributor breakage is lower, and you can extend or shorten the distance between the troughs based on your crops by adjusting the hose lengths. For example, if you want a larger gap between the two troughs on the right side and a very small gap between the other troughs on the left side, you can adjust the pipe lengths.
Using the GrowStream 20Assemble the system according to the instructions, fill with nutrient solution and rinsed hydroton, and place the plants hydroponically grown in a propagation station like HydroCloner into the pots to get started!
