Terra Aquatica pH-Down Regulator does more than just being an acid: it makes an important contribution to the nutrient balance of the solution.

For the production of Terra Aquatica pH-, we combine the strengths of three acids that are usually used individually in hydroponics, which has disadvantages, into a balanced mixture that only has advantages.

In Terra Aquatica pH-Down Regulator, phosphoric acid and nitric acid take on the main task of regulating the pH value at the beginning. Their ratio is adjusted in such a way that it has no influence on the N/K ratio during the growth and flowering phase, and no residues form on the surface of the tank, which happens with phosphoric acid alone in hard water. Then, biological citric acid takes over. Thanks to its buffering effect, it compensates for pH fluctuations that occur later, stabilizes the nutrient solution, and compensates for excess calcium in areas with hard water.

Nothing benefits plants as much as an optimal pH value. A high pH promotes cation uptake, while a low pH promotes anion uptake: the set value is always a compromise between two extremes. Usually, a range of 5.5 to 6.5 is recommended. We recommend a value in the lower range of 5.5 to a maximum of 6.2.

Application of pH-Down Regulator

Caution: Always wear suitable protective clothing when handling strong acids/bases. Use the pH Test Kit to measure the pH value.

Add the required amount to the water or nutrient solution. Measure the pH value again and readjust if necessary.
