pH-Minus - Liquid pH Correction Agent
Terra Aquatica's pH-Down Regulator does more than just provide acid: it makes an important contribution to the nutrient balance of the solution.
For the production of Terra Aquatica pH-, we combine the strengths of three acids that are usually used individually in hydroponics, which has its disadvantages. We create a balanced mixture with only advantages.
In Terra Aquatica pH-Down Regulator, phosphoric acid and nitric acid take on the main task of regulating the pH value at the beginning. Their ratio is adjusted so that it has no influence on the N/K ratio during the growth and flowering phase, and no residues form on the tank surface, which can occur when using phosphoric acid alone in hard water. Then, biological citric acid takes over. Thanks to its buffering effect, it compensates for any pH fluctuations that may occur later, keeps the nutrient solution stable, and compensates for excess calcium in areas with hard water.
Nothing benefits plants as much as an optimal pH value. A high pH promotes cation uptake, while a low pH promotes anion uptake. The set value is always a compromise between two extremes. A range of 5.5 to 6.5 is usually recommended. We recommend a value in the lower range, from 5.5 to a maximum of 6.2.
Application of pH-Down Regulator
Caution: Always wear suitable protective clothing when handling strong acids/bases. To measure the pH value, use the pH Test Kit.
Add the required amount to the water or nutrient solution. Measure the pH value again and adjust if necessary.
