Description

Root Pouch Fabric Pots: The Gray Series (250 g/m2)

Looking for a sustainable and durable alternative to traditional planting containers? Then the Root Pouch Fabric Pots from the Gray Series are just what you need!

The blend of recycled PET and natural fibers is exceptionally sturdy and long-lasting. With a lifespan of 3 to 4 years, these pots are particularly suitable for in-ground cultivation. Thanks to the natural fibers that draw water and nutrients from the surrounding soil, your plants will receive optimal nourishment.

These Root Pouch pots are also excellent for indoor cultivation and container gardening. The so-called "Root-Pruning Effect" results in a dense and healthy fiber root system.

Root Pouch is the only manufacturer that produces its textile material. The material is made from 100% recycled water bottles (PET) and natural fibers, making it BPA-free and non-toxic.

The gray fabric pots are available in sizes ranging from 3.8 to 78 liters, and sizes 16 liters and above come with handles. So, choose the size that suits your plants best and enjoy the benefits of Root Pouch Fabric Pots.

Applications of Gray Root Pouch Fabric Pots

Wondering what these fabric pots are best suited for? Here are some recommendations for you:

  • In-Ground: If you want to cultivate your favorite plants in the ground, Root Pouch Fabric Pots are the perfect choice. The natural fibers draw water and nutrients from the surrounding soil to nourish your plants optimally. These fabric pots are also robust enough for mechanical harvesting and soft enough to be transported without stem protection.
  • Pot-in-Pot: Another popular method is using Root Pouch pots as a "pot-in-pot" solution. In this method, the roots get entangled in the Root Pouch material, stopping their lengthwise growth, rather than through air contact ("extrapert pruning").
  • Container & Pot Cultivation: Root Pouch Fabric Pots are also excellent for cultivating above the ground level in containers. The "Root-Pruning Effect" results in a dense and healthy fiber root system, leading to better plant development.

Root Pouch Fabric Pots with Natural Fibers are Specifically Designed for In-Ground Cultivation

"Whether in-ground cultivation or conventional container gardening, Root Pouch is the most advanced root pruning technology available."

Why are Natural Fibers Necessary for In-Ground Cultivation?

The natural fibers draw water from the surrounding soil to the plant. Additionally, they can absorb and retain water, reducing the need for irrigation. Textiles without natural fibers cannot perform this function.

Another advantage of Root Pouch material over other fabric pots for in-ground cultivation is the root pruning through entanglement rather than air contact. In air-pruning solutions, roots force their way through the container wall in search of air. In Root Pouch, the root tips get entangled in the material, creating a dense, fibrous root network inside the container - ideal for in-ground cultivation.

What Other Benefits Do Natural Fiber Textiles Offer?

For in-ground cultivation, natural fibers draw water from the surrounding soil to the plant. Additionally, they have temperature-regulating properties. When used in the ground, in pot-in-pot setups, or in traditional container gardening, natural fibers keep roots warmer in winter and cooler in summer, creating a more balanced climate in the root zone.

Why Are Plants So Healthy in Root Pouch?

Root Pouch is not just a container for the substrate; it also creates an optimal environment for the roots.

  • Breathable material allows oxygen to reach the roots.
  • Insulating properties protect the root ball from heat and cold.
  • In the fabric material, root tips get entangled. Instead of circling roots that cut off each other, the plant is encouraged to develop a dense, finely branched root system.

Benefits for Shipping

  • Because Root Pouches are soft, they reduce transport damage and can be stacked without stem protection.
  • When stacked in multiple layers, the planting bags nest together, stabilizing the plants. This allows for denser packing without harming the plants.

5 from 5 die besten Pflanzgefäße ever
